Ruston Community Theatre Presents: Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat

The Ruston Community Theatre is presenting a production of the musical, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. The musical is a retelling of the biblical story of Joseph, son of Jacob, whose journey from betrayal to triumph has inspired audiences for decades. The production is also unique because of its dynamic blend of musical styles, ranging from pop and rock to calypso and country.

The Ruston Community Theatre's production will be held at the Dixie Center for the Arts and run from July 17-20 with nightly shows at 7 p.m. and a 2 p.m. Sunday matinee.

Dee Alexander joins Cory Crowe on Lagniappe to discuss the show and the local actors and musicians who will be featured in the local production.

Originally from Monroe, Cory has worked in a variety of media. He has worked in television news and spent seven years as a TV sports play-by-play announcer. He was also creative director for a television advertising department and worked extensively as a photojournalist. Cory has lived in both Dallas and New Orleans.
