Louisiana to crawl the streets at Rose Bowl Parade

BATON ROUGE, La. – Louisiana’s fourth annual Rose Parade® float is getting ready to crawl along the streets of Pasadena, California, on Wednesday, January 1, 2025, encouraging millions around the world to visit the state.

Louisiana’s 2025 Rose Parade® float features a giant playful alligator wearing a crown and Mardi Gras beads while clutching a second-line umbrella in its tail. Riding on its back is a Cajun dance hall and porch, along with cypress trees, Louisiana musical instruments, seafood, and wildlife. Performing his rendition of “Louisiana Saturday Night” will be rising country star Timothy Wayne.

Starting Sunday, December 29, 2024, the Office of Lieutenant Governor Billy Nungesser and Louisiana Office of Tourism will being upload images and video of the of the decorating process as the float transforms from a metal skeleton to the finished product decorated entirely with flowers, leaves, and seeds. Those videos and images can be downloaded from a DropBox folder titled 2025 Rose Parade. Inside that folder will be folders for Float Decorating, Lieutenant Governor Nungesser, and all Premier Sponsor Riders. New photos, videos, and interviews will be uploaded every evening.

The Rose Parade® will be broadcast on Wednesday, January 1, 2025, and broadcast live all over the world at 10 a.m. Central through broadcast partners, including ABC and NBC.
