Potential Tropical Cyclone Six threatens Louisiana coastline

The National Hurricane Center has issued an advisory regarding a developing tropical disturbance in the Gulf of Mexico. The disturbance is expected to become a tropical storm later today, with the potential to intensify into a hurricane before reaching the northwestern U.S. Gulf Coast.

The system track takes it through north Louisiana and south Arkansas.The system is currently moving north-northwest and is forecast to bring tropical storm conditions, heavy rainfall, and storm surge to the northern Gulf Coast of Mexico, southern Texas, Louisiana, and Mississippi. Residents in the affected areas are advised to monitor local weather updates and take necessary precautions.
