Pumpkin Bash Rings in Fall

OPPL
Ouachita Parish Libraries celebrate the 38th annual Pumpkin Bash.

Ouachita Parish Public Libraries are excited to celebrate the Pumpkin Bash Saturday October 22nd. The event will kick of at 10 A.M. at the Main Branch Library on North 18th Street.

This community event is filled with activities from a caricature artist to appearances from Princess Anna of Frozen and Spiderman. There will also be a fire truck, a costume contest, pumpkin decorating, cotton candy, and Nova Clark will be there with critters from Black Bayou.

The booths set up at the event will allow kids to get stamps that will earn them a free book. Eileen, head of IT at the library, says that, "this year we are trying something different, a literary adventure... when they are finished they get to choose a free book... take it home and keep it forever."
