Monroe, La. — The Monroe chamber of commerce, the northeast Louisiana chamber of commerce, and the West Monroe–West Ouachita chamber of commerce partnered with Meta to host a hands-on advertising and business tools workshop on January 22 at Tower Place in Monroe.
The Meta-facilitated session brought together local business owners, entrepreneurs, nonprofit leaders, and marketing professionals for practical training on using Facebook and Instagram more effectively. Topics included creative ad optimization, how Meta advertising works, and leveraging Meta business tools to manage online presence and advertising strategies.
“When chambers collaborate, businesses win,” said Mike Downhour, president and CEO of the Monroe chamber of commerce. “By partnering with Meta and working together regionally, we’re ensuring northeast Louisiana businesses have access to high-quality tools and knowledge that help them grow, reach new customers, and compete in today’s digital economy.”
Kenya Roberson, executive director of the northeast Louisiana chamber of commerce, emphasized the impact of the collaboration, noting that the joint effort provided meaningful, hands-on training for nonprofits and small businesses while strengthening regional connections. Meta representatives offered step-by-step guidance and answered questions throughout the workshop, helping attendees better understand advertising options and best practices.
The chambers thanked Meta and participating businesses for making the workshop a success and encouraged businesses to stay engaged with their local chambers for future educational opportunities.
