KEDM Policy and a Pint: A Blunt Look at Louisiana Marijuana Policy delved into the topic of cannabis in the bayou state. Our program was recorded at Iron Cactus in downtown Monroe on May 15. 

Our open public forum featured panel with members who support legalization and those against the new proposals. Our experts are from the fields of addiction recovery and counseling, pharmacology and pharmacy law, and the marijuana lobby.  We discussed medical pot, legalization, health issues, and more.

Tim Hitt - Sensible Marijuana Policy for Louisiana , After a 12 year career in law enforcement, Tim has spent the last 10 years in the nutrition and vitamin industry. He has been an advocate for cannabis reform and is currently working towards developing a viable agricultural hemp program in Louisiana.

Dr. Tommy Estis, LPC, LMFT, LAC - Dr. Estis is the owner of Aimwell Recovery Center in Monroe. The center is a a state licensed drug and alcohol treatment facility. 

Dr. Jeffery Evans - Associate Professor, department head of Clinical Sciences, University of Louisiana Monroe School of Pharmacy

Originally from Monroe, Cory has worked in a variety of media. He has worked in television news and spent seven years as a TV sports play-by-play announcer. He was also creative director for a television advertising department and worked extensively as a photojournalist. Cory has lived in both Dallas and New Orleans.
