North Carolina and other states want private funds banned from elections administration

The 2020 elections saw a record voter turnout and an enormous amount of mail-in ballots, all amidst a pandemic.

These challenges required election officials to seek alternative sources of funding. Now, many Republican legislators want to ban private funding of the elections administration process.
