An investigative audit accuses three former cashiers at Grambling State University improperly added over 164-thousand-dollars to G-Flex accounts that were used by 35 students and two of the former cashiers. State Auditor, Roger Harris says the Louisiana Legislative Auditor’s office was notified by the school in February once they discovered a problem.
Such a use of public money for personal benefit may violate both state and federal laws. The G-Flex accounts can be used to buy text books, meals and snacks. Harris says even though the money has been paid back through Grambling’s general fund, the school wants to recover those funds.
