The Flood of 2016  which damaged the Plum Street Underpass called for emergency interim repairs. The dirt sides of the underpass began sliding down the hill.  Now the road has been given permanent repairs and will be reopened today Tuesday, October 10th.

The project cost $457,134 which was funded by both the City of Monroe Capital Infrastructure Street fund and FEMA reimbursement. The Road will be fully functional and cut down traffic congestion from train traffic in the area.
