Cameron Jordan and a few other players from the New Orleans Saints sat during the national anthem with hands on their hearts. Jordan makes it clear that in no way are the players intention to disrespect the flag or our troops. He said the demonstration of kneeling or sitting during the national anthem is simply a way of raising awareness to the racial injustice happening currently in the country. He says the demonstration is peaceful and only seeks to unify the country, not divide it.

Quarterback Drew Brees says if you’re an American, you should stand with your hand over your heart during the playing of the Star-Spangled Banner. Brees says before this Sunday’s Dolphins game in London, the team plans on being unified during the national anthem and not division
