A CAREER IN FOREIGN SERVICE: The Chancellor’s Speaker Series at LSUS will host career Foreign Service Officer Richard H. Jones at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 29 in the Science Lecture Auditorium. As a retired US ambassador, Richard H. Jones has spent nearly 38 years in public service, including 32 years as a US Foreign Service Officer. He has served as U.S. Ambassador in Lebanon, Kazakhstan, Kuwait and Israel. he will speak about what the U.S. State Department does, his experiences as a diplomat and how those in the foreign service work to keep the world a safer place.
