Lagniappe: ULM Library's Pow Wow Digitization Project

Not long after Ouachita Parish Junior College opened in 1931 students started a newspaper. The Pow Wow student newspaper continues today at The University of Louisiana Monroe as The Hawkeye.  A $2,200 grant has allowed the ULM Library to digitize the first 50 years of The Pow Wow.

Originally from Monroe, Cory has worked in a variety of media. He has worked in television news and spent seven years as a TV sports play-by-play announcer. He was also creative director for a television advertising department and worked extensively as a photojournalist. Cory has lived in both Dallas and New Orleans.
