More than 20 cyclists who rode from Shreveport to Monroe stopped off at the University of Louisiana at Monroe Thursday.

The cyclists are on a cross-country trip dubbed "Journey Of Hope", to raise money for people with disabilities.

The Ability Experience, a philanthropy operated by Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity, started the journey in Long Beach, California.  Three groups with a total of more than 70 riders are following three different courses across the country. They are scheduled to arrive in Washington, D.C. on August 8.

Thus far, the organization has raised over $570,930 in their trek across the country.
