VAPA hosts Voice Day for high school students

The University of Louisiana Monroe School of Visual and Performing Arts hosts the Annual Voice Day on Friday, April 1.

Voice Day is a free educational clinic for any high school-aged singers. Voice Day begins at 1 p.m. in the Emy-Lou Biedenharn Recital Hall.

VAPA professors and instructors Dr. Nancy Carey, Dr. Deborah Chandler, Justin Havard, Dr. Richard Seiler, and Dr. Claire Vangelisti will lead and facilitate choral activities, theatrical movement, acting improvisation, a performance masterclass, and a "What Can I Do With A Music Degree?" workshop.

Voice Day is an area-specific visitation day for potential music majors, music minors, and any student who wishes to participate in the voice area while attending ULM.

Any high school student who registers and participates in Voice Day will receive free tickets for the musical "She Loves Me" on April 1, in Brown Auditorium at 7:30 p.m.
