Farmerville, LA - Betty Laird was picking up garbage on the side of the road when she was hit by a golf cart driven by her husband. Bo Laird says he tried to stop the cart but was unable to. The cart then over turned and pinned them both down.
Bo Laird was able to get free of the wreckage but was unable to get the wreckage off of his wife. Betty Laird died from her injuries.
The incident is still under investigation.
