West Monroe Armed Robbery Suspect Apprehended

Ouachita Parish Sheriff's Deputies responded to a reported armed robbery at the Circle K convenience store on Thomas Rd at approximately 4:30 p.m.

An OPSO investigation revealed a white male armed with a handgun allegedly entered the business demanding cash. He took an undetermined amount of cash and fled the scene. No one was injured.

A few minutes later, based on evidence in the investigation, the suspect was apprehended.

James M. Hayes, age 64 of West Monroe, has been arrested 1 ct. if Armed Robbery. He is currently in OCC on the charge.

No further information is available at this time, the investigation is continuing.
