Lagniappe: RiverMarket returns to downtown Monroe

The Monroe riverfront will come alive this weekend with the monthly RiverMarket. The event will be held on Saturday April 20 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event will feature local artisans and makers. Numerous food trucks will feature food, juices, and beignets.

The event will happen rain or shine. Upcoming RiverMarket dates are May 18 and June 8. Vendors are still needed for the events.

Originally from Monroe, Cory has worked in a variety of media. He has worked in television news and spent seven years as a TV sports play-by-play announcer. He was also creative director for a television advertising department and worked extensively as a photojournalist. Cory has lived in both Dallas and New Orleans.
