Strauss Singer-Songwriter series continues with two big musical acts

Lagniappe: Strauss Theatre Center 'June Tunes' Summer Concerts

The Strauss Theatre Center's Singer-Songwriter series continues for the month of June. The final two concerts will feature the music of local artist Robert Finley and Shreveport's Maggie Koerner.

Robert Finley has been touring the U.S. and Europe after his appearances on America's Got Talent. His most recent album Sharecropper's Son was produced by Dan Auerbach. He will take the stage at 7 p.m. Saturday, June 17 at the Strauss.

Koerner is coming of an appearance at JazzFest. She is best known as the former front woman of the New Orleans funk band Galactic. She has shared the stage with Gov't Mule, Charles Bradley and Widespread Panic. Maggie will appear at 7 p.m., Saturday, June 24.

Originally from Monroe, Cory has worked in a variety of media. He has worked in television news and spent seven years as a TV sports play-by-play announcer.
