Horace Trahan & the Ossun Express

Friday, July 26, Ouachita Live presents Horace Trahan & the Ossun Express as this month’s live concert in downtown West Monroe.

This month’s Ouachita Live is also the first to be held at Alley Park, a section of Natchitoches Street in West Monroe undergoing renovations to become a new central gathering place in downtown West Monroe.

The festivities of Ouachita Live begin at 5:30 p.m. with food trucks, shopping, and bouncy houses for children.

Horace Trahan & the Ossun Express will begin at 7 p.m. and play for an hour.  This event is family friendly and free to the public.

Horace Trahan & the Ossun Express is a musical group with members from different parts of South Louisiana. They specialize in Cajun and Zydeco music, utilizing the usual instruments as well as the accordion, harmonica, saxophone, and scrubboard.

Since the age of three, Horace’s genuine appreciation for music is still his source of unwavering creativity. With influences ranging from Iry LeJeune, Aldus Roger, Hank Williams, Hank Williams Jr., and George Jones; to Wayne Toups, John Delafose, Beau Jocque, Clifton Chenier, Bob Marley, and Bob Dylan, Horace Trahan pulls from all facets of music for his unique sound.
