Biedenharn Museum features artist Don Cincone and the Images of Christ exhibit Tuesday, Nov. 13. Museum Director Ralph Calhoun takes guests on a journey through the Nativity story Thursday, November 15.
"An Evening with Don Cincone" looks the life, works, and faith of artist Don Cincone. The event reached capacity for attendees over a week in advance. Funded through a grant from the Northeast Louisiana Art Council, the artist talk focuses on the pieces by Cincone featured in the Images of Christ exhibit.
Museum Director Ralph Calhoun uses illustrations from the Books of Hours to tell the story of the Nativity. Books of Hours are medieval prayer books which help lead people through pray at each hour of the day. Calhoun discusses the scripture behind the illustrations and tells legends surrounding the Holy Family. The free event takes place Thursday, November 15 at 6 p.m. in the Welcome Room at Biedenharn.
