KEDM "OFF-AIR" On Tuesday For Electrical Maintenance

KEDM's electrical pole is leaning like Pisa.

Electrical work on a leaning power pole will force KEDM Public Radio to stop broadcasting for a few hours on Tuesday morning.

The pole has been leaning for years and we are worried it will break and damage the transmitters housed in this building.

Entergy crews will change out the utility transformers and pole that serves KEDM and other stations that broadcast from our transmission facility in Fairbanks, Louisiana. During this time KEDM will not broadcast an over the air FM signal. The electrical work will begin around 8 a.m. and should be finished by noon.

During this time you can continue to listen to KEDM, KEDM HD1, and KEDM HD2 on our website at KEDM.org.
