20 area young professionals are recognized for their accomplishments in an awards reception Thursday at the Monroe Civic Center.
The Monroe Chamber of Commerce hosts the "Top 20 Under 40" event. Chamber President Sue Nicholson explained that committee members looked at three criteria in the nominations. "How they have performed professionally, personally, and in the community," she said.
Over 65 individuals were nominated for the distinction. Those selected cover a wide range of business sectors. Men and women in banking, health care, city administration, and private business span the list of honorees.
