The Arts With Passion presents a fictional account of Martin Luther King, Jr.'s last night on earth.

The Mountain Top will give a fictional account of the last days of Martin Luther King's life. The play will have a combination of humor and drama.  Pashen Sims will direct and produce the play that will open Saturday evening.

"The playwright does a great job imagining what she thinks the human side of Martin Luther King was. You get to see him without the layers of the iconic 'I Have a Dream' speech." Sims said.

Sondra Swann says audience members will be able to visualize Martin Luther King as a man. "It's very breathtaking. I didn't even read the script. I wanted to see it acted out by two wonderful cast members." Swann said.

The Mountain Top will be presented Saturday, June 13 at 6:30 p.m. in the Monroe Civic Center Arena. Tickets for the play are $30. Visit theartswithpassion.com for more information.
