A fight erupts between four women over an undergarment, and what develops is laughter and loveable characters, as Menopause: The Musical performs tonight at the Jack Howard Theatre.
Cast members Sandra Benton and Cherie Price share on the hilarious, yet heartfelt storyline of how women react during a change in life. "You think they have nothing in common, and this conversation begins about what each are going through and you see the similarity," say Benton.
The production is filled with parodied songs from the 60's and 70's that humorously share about each character. "The audience hears the riff on a song and instantly responds, but then the lyrics that tell what the woman is going through is brilliant, says Price.
Benton says underneath the laughter and loathing, is a story about change, about sisterhood that women, and men, can appreciate and enjoy.
