Fall is an outstanding time to plant many of the hearty culinary herbs, including parsley. Parsley is part of the same family as dill, cilantro, fennel, and celery, which can all be planted this time of year.

Parsley is best grown as a cool season annual. Seeds can be planted any time from now through early March.

Parsley plants spread about 12 inches across from a central crown and grow eight to ten inches tall. When they bloom, flowers can reach two to three feet.
