ULM is offering fun and educational summer camps for kids and teenagers June 11-August 3. The camps are part of the Continuing Education program at ULM.

"Continuing Education gives ULM the opportunity to reach out and work with the community on courses to 'continue education,'" says Ida Gaines, the coordinator of non-credit programs. In addition to youth summer camps and activities, the Division of Continuing Education works to provide life-long learning opportunities.

Emerald McIntyre / Downtown Arts Alliance

The next installment of the Downtown Gallery Crawl, April 5 from 6-9 p.m., continues to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the Crawl. Resident guest artists are on hand to talk with patrons about their art at this free event.

The Downtown Gallery Crawl is an opportunity to check out what local artists of all media are creating. The Downtown Arts Alliance is pulling together nine shows in galleries across the Twin Cities, with live music, food, and drink around every corner. The Crawl is entirely free to any patrons interested in what regional artists have to offer.

Tim Mcilveene / Ouachita Business Alliance

The Ouachita Business Alliance achieved many goals benefiting the Monroe community and is continuing these efforts in the new year.

The Ouachita Business Alliance (OBA) was formed in 2014 by members of CenturyLink and the Northeast Louisiana business community. Current chair Carrick Inabnett helped found OBA with the community in mind. "We wanted to form a business group that tried to help the community in ways that may not be addressed by local government or other organizations."
