Alex Issac, age 21, was last seen in the Town & Country area of Monroe on April 26, 2021. He is described as a Black male, 6’ tall and 150 lbs. Anyone with any information as to the whereabouts of Alex Issac is asked to contact the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office at 318-329-1200.

On March 29, 2021, Deputy Chris Lambert of the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a reported head-on vehicle accident on Desiard Road/U. S. Hwy. 80 in Monroe.  Deputy Lambert was in the immediate area and arrived on scene in less than one minute.

Community Foundation of Acadiana (CFA) celebrated its inaugural Leaders in Law Enforcement Awards Luncheon on Thurs., Sept. 10, 2020, at City Club in River Ranch. The 2020 honorees are the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Department and the 40th Judicial District Attorney’s Office of St. John the Baptist Parish.

The man whose body was found in an Ouachita Parish bayou Tuesday morning has been identified.

He is 31-year-old Justin Dilmore, of Monroe. 

The Ouachita Parish Sheriff's Office says that they were notified at 6:36 a.m. that there was a body in Bayou Desiard.

Autopsy results are pending and the incident is still under investigation.

UPDATE: Arrest Made In Hit And Run Case

Monroe Police made an arrest in the case of the hit-and-run death of 15 year-old Neville student Ashley Dorsey. Authorities arrested 51 year-old Daniel Lynn Ross and charged him with Negligent Homicide and Felony Hit-and-Run. Detectives found Ross was driving a white Chevy Equinox when Dorsey was hit on Park Avenue. He is currently being held in the Ouachita Correction Center.

A 15-year-old Neville Student has been airlifted to Shreveport after a hit-and-run left her in critical condition.

A man who was accused of firing a firearm multiple times in the 100 block of Brook Orchard Blvd. has been arrested by the Ouachita Parish Sheriff's Office.

Deputies detained Richard L. Wall of Monroe at approximately 3:20 p.m. after they were able to determine that Wall had fired erratically in the neighborhood. He appeared to be impaired and possibly under the influence of narcotics according to the investigators involved.

Wall was taken into custody and booked into the Ouachita Correctional Center for Illegal Discharge of a Weapon and other pending charges.

The investigation of the homicide that was reported yesterday in the Town and Country neighborhood has led to the arrest of suspect Charles Lampley. 

Lampley is being booked into Ouachita Correctional Center on a warrant charging him with Second Degree Murder.

Ouachita Parish Sheriff's Office has identified the deceased as Alice Heckard.

Investigators in the Sheriff's Office believe that the shooting stemmed from a domestic disturbance between the victim and the suspect. 

The shooting was reported on Sunday evening around 5 p.m.

A joint operation of Louisiana State Police Special Victim's Unit detectives, investigators from the Ouachita Parish Sheriff's Office and FBI Task Force Agents arrested two men on human trafficking charges earlier this week.

34-year-old Jay Jaggers III of Monroe was arrested and charged with pandering and 26-year-old Vintrone Jackson of Monroe was arrested and charged with pandering and human trafficking a person under the age of 21. Both men were booked into Ouachita Correctional Center.

A Louisiana man accused of having sex with a 13-year-old said he was beaten by the girl's family after they caught the two together.

18-year-old Javionne Thomas is charged with felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile.

A Monroe sheriff's arrest report says deputies responded to a call of an injured person early Sunday morning. Thomas told deputies he was having sex with a girl and was caught by her family who attacked him before he fled.

West Monroe Police Issue Statement On Lockdown

On September 10, 2019 at 1025 hours, the West Monroe Police Department was alerted about an armed white male and another white male with him on the campus of West Monroe High School. West Monroe Police has a substation at the high school and an officer was present doing a routine walk through. As a result, the two males were taken into custody within three minutes.
