Wildlife Agent Shooting Suspect Pleads Guilty To Drug And Other Charges

Monroe resident, Amethyst Baird, is looking at a variety of charges after allegedly shooting a Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries Agent multiple times earlier this year.

Baird has a history of drug use and has already pled guilty to possession of stolen items and possession of meth. She was sentenced to 10 years in prison.

Baird was also charged with attempted first degree murder after she allegedly shot Wildlife Agent Tyler Wheeler multiple times.

The trial is expected to be held in Bossier Parish on October 23, but nothing is guaranteed yet as her attorney asked the trial to be moved to Morehouse Parish.
