United Way of Northeast Louisiana currently has volunteer opportunities available for those interested in helping Bastrop High School students learn money management at the Dollars & $ense Reality Fair, a financial education simulation during which high school students actively learn how to make better financial decisions and gain knowledge of budgeting, saving, and spending. This free, enriching simulation will be held at Bastrop High School (402 Highland Avenue, Bastrop, LA 71220) on Tuesday, October 30, from 8:00 a.m. - 10:45 a.m.
Volunteering for the Dollars & $ense Reality Fair requires up to three hours of a volunteer's time. Training and all information and materials needed to participate in the Dollars & $ense Reality Fair will be provided on location immediately before the simulation. Registered volunteers are asked to arrive at Bastrop High School before 8:00 a.m. All volunteers must register in advance to participate in the Dollars & $ense Reality Fair.
