UPDATE: Arrest Made In Hit And Run Case

Monroe Police made an arrest in the case of the hit-and-run death of 15 year-old Neville student Ashley Dorsey. Authorities arrested 51 year-old Daniel Lynn Ross and charged him with Negligent Homicide and Felony Hit-and-Run. Detectives found Ross was driving a white Chevy Equinox when Dorsey was hit on Park Avenue. He is currently being held in the Ouachita Correction Center.

A 15-year-old Neville Student has been airlifted to Shreveport after a hit-and-run left her in critical condition.

The incident happened around 7 p.m. Tuesday on Park Avenue near Eason Place in Monroe. 

A source on scene says that she was hit while riding a skateboard. 

Police need your help locating the suspect. 

Local authorities issued a statement saying that the suspect was believed to be driving a black 4x4 pick-up truck, such as a Dodge Ram, or a white SUV vehicle, such as a Ford Explorer. The vehicle will likely have a damaged front right headlight and damaged grill.
