Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Patrol Deputies responded to a burglar alarm at the Kuntry Korner convenience store in Calhoun at 1:19 a.m. on Jan 5, 2020.  As deputies arrived, a suspect vehicle was observed leaving the location.  The vehicle was determined to be stolen out of Mississippi and the driver of the vehicle refused to stop for deputies.  A pursuit ensued, ending in West Monroe where the three occupants of the vehicle, an adult and two juveniles, were apprehended.

The investigation revealed the suspects had burglarized the Kuntry Korner and taken a large amount of cigarettes. It was further determined the suspects were allegedly responsible for breaking into the Dollar General on Hwy. 546 earlier the same morning and the 101 Travel Plaza in Calhoun on January 2, 2020.

Levi Harper has been booked into OCC on multiple charges, including 2 counts of Simple Burglary, 6 counts of Contributing to the Delinquency of a Juvenile and Aggravated Felony Flight From An Officer.

The 15-year-old juvenile has been charged with 1 count of Simple Burglary and 1 count of Resisting Arrest.  The 16-year-old juvenile has been charged with 1 count of Resisting Arrest. Both were placed into Green Oaks Detention Center on the charges.
