December 14

9 a.m.   Christmas with The Mormon  Tabernacle Choir 

The world-renowned Mormon Tabernacle Choir sings familiar carols along with lesser-known melodies that are fast becoming the new classics. Hosted by Julie Amacher.

1 p.m. Advent Voices

Advent is a time of quiet contemplation and waiting. It's waiting for darkness to become light and for hopes to be realized. Throughout the centuries Advent has been observed musically in sacred and secular ways. Join Lynne Warfel for an hour of the most beautiful vocal music inspired by and written for Advent.

7 p.m. Christmas Carol 

A public radio tradition. Master comedian Jonathan Winters presents a distinctive reading of Dickens' holiday classic, using a special performing edition prepared by Dickens for his own presentations. Also featuring Mimi Kennedy. 

8 p.m. Jazz Piano Christmas

The late, great Joe Williams hosts this unforgettable encore from 1997 featuring distinctive stylings of holiday tunes by Stanley Cowell, Stephen Scott, JoAnne Brackeen, Eliane Elias, Monty Alexander, and Mulgrew Miller. 

December 15

9 a.m. Advent Voices

Take time to reflect on the season as host Lynne Warfel presents an hour of music related to the Advent season, the Christmas story and its symbolism.

1 p.m. St.Olaf Christmas Festival

This service in song and word has become one of the nation's most cherished holiday celebrations.

December 17

7 p.m. Jazz Piano Christmas

Join the Kennedy Center and NPR Music for a special Mardi Gras themed holiday concert hosted by Felix Contreras, highlighting the favorite seasonal music of four acclaimed performers. Winner of the Kennedy Center's Mary Lou Williams Jazz Piano Competition Helen Sung and 2018 NEA Jazz Master Joanne Brackeen return to the Kennedy Center's Terrace Theater, along with Brazilian virtuoso Abelita Mateus and Cajun blues master Marcia Ball.

1 p.m. Christmas with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir

7 p.m. The Big Tiny Desk Holiday Special

Celebrate the season with amazing holiday performances from The Tiny Desk Concert series including Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings, Steve Martin, Hanson, The Polyphonic Spree and more! Hosted by NPR Music frenemies Bob Boilen and Stephen Thompson.

8 p.m. Joy To The World – A Holiday in Pink

The internationally acclaimed “little orchestra" Pink Martini bedecks the airwaves with festive holiday songs from across the globe. From timeless classics to rarely heard gems, hear a multi-denominational, multi-cultural jubilee, overflowing with enough holiday spirit to warm your entire family. Hosted by All Things Considered’s Ari Shapiro.

Originally from Monroe, Cory has worked in a variety of media. He has worked in television news and spent seven years as a TV sports play-by-play announcer. He was also creative director for a television advertising department and worked extensively as a photojournalist. Cory has lived in both Dallas and New Orleans.
