Northeast Louisiana Celtic Festival

Emerald Accent Irish Music

This Saturday, October 6, the 15th annual Celtic Fest is returning to Kiroli Park to celebrate the presence of Irish and Scottish culture in the area. Beginning at 10 AM, you can experience three stages of live music, dancing shows, and local food vendors.

Rain or shine, the event will go on all day and into the night with its new event, a fundraiser for Ouachita Green. They will be showing the movie Brave in the amphitheater at Kiroli. Kids under 10 get in for free. A special guest appearance by Merida, as well as popcorn, candy, drinks, and cotton candy will be available before the movie. This movie is included in the $5 ticket to get into the festival.

This festival celebrates the presence of Celtic culture in the area, specifically song and dance. Ouachita parish has been widely settled by Irish and Scottish people, even bluegrass has roots in Celtic Music. An Irish dancing school from New Orleans will be performing, as well as several Celtic musicians across the three stages available.
