Monroe Regional Airport Bomb Scare

Airport

At 5:30 this morning, a suspicious package was found in the Monroe Regional Airport. The airport was evacuated and flights delayed as the package was inspected and removed.

Monroe Police spokesman Reggie Brown said police do not believe the device is a bomb.

The airport is now back open and flights are running as scheduled.
