The Monroe Chamber of Commerce is holding a membership drive that will last from Oct. 22-24. Businesses joining the chamber receive so many different business oppurtunities and gain access to a vast networking system.

In order to join the group, the cost is $325 but during the drive the $35 processing fee will be waived. Schools and individuals can join at a lower cost: $100.

The Monroe Chamber of Commerce is a group dedicated to connecting business owners in NELA and advocating for issues facing businesses in the area. Over the years, the chamber has gained more members and now has around 700-800 businesses and people involved.

Paul West, an ambassador of The Monroe Chamber of Commerce, has been a member of the organization for nine years and he believes the benefits are beyond helpful. He says, "I have seen the incredible work that the chamber does in advocating for business. Talking about having a voice, informing members, publicity, involvement, referrals, resources, new customers, and more."

On top of these benefits, members can also join the many programs that the Monroe Chamber of Commerce offers. Programs like Leadership of Ouachita, Ambassadors Club, etc. give members even more oppurtunities to network and exchange business ideas.
