Mayor Staci Albritton Mitchell is looking towards a greener future for West Monroe with new recycling programs.
During her first week, Mayor Mitchell worked on a new recycling program for West Monroe, which was approved by the City Council during the July meeting. "I just feel very compelled to give back and be part of the progress," says Mitchell.
Mayor Mitchell took her first month to tour each city department and meet with the heads to learn about their day-to-day activities and collect "wish lists" of their wants, needs, and ways they believe their departments could become more efficient and effective.
