Variety, like the name implies, is like a variety show. It is an inter-generational cultural experience that takes place five times a year. Every edition features a new line-up each time. Admission and activities are free. Generally Variety would be held at the Masur Museum, however the September 16 Variety will be held at the Monroe Regional Airport. Short term parking stubs will be validated between 2:00 pm and 5:00 pm!
THE LINE-UP:
3 – 3:50 pm: Live Music: Implosion Percussion Group of New Music on the Bayou Musicians include: Mel Mobley, Greg Lyons, James Waller, and Brian Bass.
4 – 5 pm: Strauss Youth Academy for the Arts Performance
SYAA performers present SYAA Cabaret, a show themed around Disney on Broadway.

2 – 5 pm: Arrow Public Art Project
Paint and build a mini house magnet!
2 – 5pm: Paper Airplanes Art Project
Learn how to fold three cool styles of paper airplanes with volunteer artists.
2 – 5 pm: Art Project with local artist Rhyan Emery Taylor
Photo transfers! Rhyan will take a photograph of your child and print it. Then they’ll use a special process to transfer their portrait onto metal and mount it to wood.
2 – 5 pm: Face Painting! With Madi and Annie
2 – 5 pm: RoeLA Roaster
