A Louisiana man has been arrested after a pedestrian was struck and killed on an interstate highway.

News outlets reported that 36-year-old Christopher London of Baton Rouge has been charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless operation of a vehicle and vehicular homicide.

Thirty-two-year-old Cyril Greene of Convent was struck around 1 a.m. Sunday while walking along I-110. Baton Rouge police said in a news release that Greene had been a passenger in a vehicle when his cellphone fell out along the road.

Greene got out and was looking for his phone when he was struck. Greene died at the scene. It was not known if London has an attorney yet.
