How A Healthy Diet Can Help Slow Aging

Mar 29, 2021

A healthy diet has always been a recommendation of health professionals. To maintain "healthy aging," eating lots of whole grains, fruits and vegetables is even more vital as we get older. Angie O'Pry with Fiesta Nutrition Center talks about how to stay young with age.

The Fountain of Youth

The Fountain of Youth is in the palms of our own hands. It's all about our mind creating youthful situations where if we can feel it, then we can be it. Whether it is our energy levels, activity levels, or thinking, our positivity is found where the Fountain of Youth is.

What we can do about the physical changes of aging

As we age, it is something that we have to embrace our age and not grieve the past of being young and having a tinier waist line or a head full of hair. What we can do, however, is make better choices in our diet, activity level, and our thinking. There are so many tools to help us live a healthier lifestyle, but you just have to have the will to do it.

Tools for a healthier lifestyle

Good planning is a first, so plan your meals for the day and days ahead. As we age, we can not survive off of just a simple glass of orange juice and crackers anymore. We have to let our bodies adjust to or else we see where our body begins to deteriorate later on down the road. Always drink water and stay hydrated to further help you maintain your blood pressure and steady your stress levels. Always make a plan to take care of yourself.
