Hard Freeze Warning Issued By National Weather Service

NWS Shreveport
/
NOAA
Freezing temps will end by Wednesday afternoon.

The National Weather Service in Shreveport has issued a Hard
Freeze Warning, which is in effect from 10 PM this evening to
10 AM CST Wednesday.

An arctic airmass will remain in place today and tonight,
which will allow temperatures to fall into the lower and middle
teens again across all of the Ark La Tex.

Near freezing temperatures late this afternoon will fall into the lower and mid teens overnight. Temperatures will climb back to near or above freezing by mid to late morning Wednesday.

Precautions should be taken to protect pipes and provide warm shelter to people, plants, and pets through
Wednesday. Prolonged exposure could lead to hypothermia and may harm pets and livestock.

A Hard Freeze Warning means dangerously cold temperatures are imminent or highly likely. Prolonged exposure could be dangerous. Provide pets with adequate shelter and access to unfrozen water. These conditions will kill crops and other sensitive vegetation.
