The ULM Softball team is hosting their very first comedy night called ‘Ha-Ha’ Night with the Hawks at 7p.m. on September 14th, 2019. The event will take place at ULM’s Student Union Building in the second floor Sub-Ballroom on 700 University Avenue, Monroe, LA, and will feature hilarious comedy acts and a delicious dinner.
‘Ha-Ha Night with the Hawks’ was the brainchild of the team’s booster club after a successful trivia night fundraiser. The softball team’s head coach, Molly Fichtner, says that the goal is “to get the community involved” and show them how much the softball team appreciates their help. The comedy night will include the witty Chef Scott Landry, a Cajun comedian with a mean jambalaya, and Haylie McCleney, a two-time world champion US Olympic Softball Team Member. Chef Landry will also be cooking a Cajun dinner for all those in attendance that night before his performance.
There are two ticket options for the event on Saturday. One standard ticket costs $30 and includes Chef Landry's dinner with the show. You also have the option to buy a table for eight at $250 that includes dinner and a bottle of wine for everyone at the table.
All proceeds from 'Ha-Ha' night will be used to support the ULM Softball team and their expenses this upcoming season. They will use these funds for their essentials including equipment, balls, and clothing.
To join in on the fun, tickets can be found at warhawkclub.com or by calling Wendy Kreps at 337-424-6406. More information about the event can be found here.
