Community Meetings To Fight Monroe's Blight

The City of Monroe is announcing a series of community development seminars aimed at helping in the Fight the Blight effort.

 

The seminars will be conducted by the Southern University Center tor Economic and Entrepreneurial Development. They will be held on consecutive Saturdays, August 4th and 11th from 9 am until 1 pm. The seminars will take place at the City of Monroe Pubic Safety Center located at 1810 Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive (U.S. Hwy 165 South).

 

The series, “Creating Neighborhood Developers for Distressed Areas”, is designed to identify potential and emerging developers and increase their awareness in areas such as property acquisition, securing funding and basic project management.
