Ouachita Parish Mosquito Abatement District conducts aerial spraying

Ouachita Parish Mosquito Abatement District will be conducting aerial spraying for mosquitoes Wednesday, July 13 from 9 p.m. to 12 a.m.

The spray time is dependent on weather conditions. If there is rain, fog, or wind, the District will be forced to cancel the spraying for the night.

The parish is divided into four quadrants. I-20 divides south and north quadrants and the Ouachita River divides east and west quadrants. Each quadrant is further divided into zones which is the amount one spray truck can spray in an evening. There are a total of 51 zones in the parish.

The area being sprayed can be viewed on the aerial spraying map.
