Boy Scouts of America holds 36th annual Scouting for Food drive
The 36th Annual Boy Scouts of America Scouting for Food drive is happening on Saturday, November 11.
Local Boy Scout troops will distribute empty bags in neighborhoods the weekend of November 4. Just fill the bag with nonperishable foods and place it by your front door by 8:00 AM on Saturday, November 11, to be picked up by the scouts.
Food Bank of Northeast Louisiana Executive Director Jean Toth said donations collected from the food drive will help the Food Bank prepare for the upcoming holiday season. “Many families in our community who are struggling turn to us for help during the holidays,” said Toth. “Please participate in this year’s drive to help ensure our neighbors have a warm meal during the holidays.”
If you don’t receive a bag, you can drop off food donations at either of the following locations on Saturday, November 11th between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
Food Bank of NELA – 4600 Central Ave, Monroe
Christ Church – 208 Lincoln St, West Monroe.
