OPSO Youth Fishing Tournament September 7

The free event is open to children 2-12

The Ouachita Parish Sheriff's Office will hold a Youth Fishing Tournament for children ages 2-12. The event will take place on Saturday, September 7th, with fishing starting at 6am. Participants are welcome to fish in any waterway within Ouachita Parish.

One of the best parts of this tournament is that there is no need to report to the tournament headquarters before fishing. The event is free for all participants, and the weigh-in will take place from 10am to 11am at the OPSO Rifle Range. However, all entries must be checked in before 11am.

Participants are encouraged to bring their biggest catch, whether dead or alive, to the weigh-in. Winners will be announced at approximately 11:30am. All participants must check in at registration, even if they are not weighing in.

Registration is available at www.opso.net. In addition to the fishing tournament, there will be snow cones, hot dogs, door prizes, and kids' activities. The event will take place at OPSO Rifle Range, located at 357 Sheriff Fewell Road, West Monroe.
