ULM GERO Institute offers dementia care training for caregivers

The ULM Gero Institute will host a class on dementia care for caregivers. Dr. Anita Sharma is the Director of the University of Louisiana Monroe Gero Institute. Their mission is to educate, research, and perform outreach in gerontology.

Sharma says, "Much like teenagers we will go through growing pains as we age." Sharma says the class is great education for staff members of senior care centers, long-term care facilities, and councils on ageing.

Dr. Anita Sharma talks with Cory Crowe about the learning opportunity on March 27 at the University of Louisiana Monroe. The class will be an eight hour in-person course.
