NCHA Eastern National Championship March 1st – 8th

West Monroe, LA – The National Cutting Horse Association (NCHA) will host the NCHA Eastern National Championship March 1st through 8th at the Ike Hamilton Expo Center.

This event is expected to bring an estimated economic impact of over $1,342,000 to Ouachita Parish.

Cutting is a western-style equestrian competition. A horse and a rider work together to demonstrate the horse’s ability to handle cattle.

The National Cutting Horse Association mission is to “promote and celebrate the cutting horse, whose origin on Western ranches allows us to support ranching and its western heritage.”

“The Ike Hamilton continues to provide a positive economic impact to Ouachita Parish by hosting equestrian events such as the NCHA Eastern National Championship. The Eastern National Championship will last eight days, bringing hundreds of riders, judges, and staff across the country. The city of West Monroe and all of northeast Louisiana will see a significant benefit to hosting events at the Ike Hamilton, and we are fortunate to have it in our community,” said Scott Bruscato, Discover Monroe-West Monroe Executive Vice President of Sales.
