‘Take West Monroe to the Next Level’ Business Appreciation Award Given to Signature Nails & Beauty West Monroe & Veit House Coffee & Tea in West Monroe

West Monroe, LA - The City of West Monroe and West Monroe West Ouachita Chamber of Commerce are proud to continue to recognize businesses as part of a community pride campaign known as “Take West Monroe to the Next Level.”

“Take West Monroe to the Next Level” is a community pride campaign that encourages business owners, residents, nonprofit organizations and others to join the City of West Monroe’s efforts to take greater pride in our community, particularly in the community’s appearance.

For the first quarter of this year, the City of West Monroe and WMWO Chamber of Commerce recognized The Viet House Coffee and Tea & Signature Nails & Beauty West Monroe located at 100 Basic Drive in West Monroe. These businesses are located in the former Payless Shoe Store which sat vacant for several years. The Nguyen family purchased the building, renovating it to bring two different businesses to the City of West Monroe.

“Congratulations to the Nguyen family on being recognized as a Next Level business,” said West Monroe Mayor Staci Mitchell. “We appreciate their efforts to renovate an existing building, turning it into two thriving businesses on a major corridor within the city limits. They are enthusiastic about our community and have a passion for West Monroe.”

“It speaks mountains about the character of a business owner that invests not only in bringing a new business to our area, but also the building itself. The Nguyen’s have truly taken it to the Next Level” Said Kristopher Kelley Executive Director of WMWO Chamber “From their clean parking lot to staff that actively maintain the location daily, they have truly made a positive impact. We encourage all businesses to get involved in this campaign. It takes all of us - city crews, business leaders, residents, school groups, and community organizations - to keep our city clean, vibrant and welcoming.”

Both the city and chamber urge business owners, residents, nonprofit organizations and others to take pride in West Monroe.
