The Twin City Ballet is set to uphold their longstanding tradition of putting on a performance of the musical The Nutcracker on Saturday, December 2 at 11a.m. at the Monroe Civic Center's Jack Howard Theater, as well as a breakfast including kids' activities like arts and crafts and pictures with Santa. There will be a second performance later on Saturday from 7-8p.m. The evening performance will follow the Festival of Trees as well as a patron party. Admission for the early performance will be $15 and tickets for the 7p.m. show will be $25.

The Twin City Ballet also hold free performances of the show each year for several schools throughout Louisiana and Southern Arkansas. The ballet was founded in 1970 and President of the Board, Megan Seller intends to keep striving toward the original goal of exposing children to the arts, as the ballet is able to expose around 7,000 children to the arts each year.
