Kiwanis of Greater Ouachita is holding its 68th annual Pancake Day fundraiser on Tuesday, November 7 from 6:30a.m. until 7p.m. at First Methodist Monroe, 3900 Loop Road. Admission will be $8 and tickets can be purchased online at monroelakiwanis.org or at the door on the day of the event.

Kiwanis of Greater Ouachita's annual Pancake Day is a fundraiser where members of the community can buy a ticket to be served a pancake breakfast, or they can choose to order it to-go and take it home. Kiwanis uses the money raised by this event to fund both their own service projects and partnerships with other organizations. "This is our one big fundraiser that we do throughout the year that we use for our service projects that we do throughout the year." said Kiwanis President David Smith. "We also consider partnerships with different organizations in the community, one hundred percent of the money that we raise goes back into the community."

Kiwanis partners with several local organizations, many of them focused on children's wellbeing such as sponsoring children and serving meals at Medcamps such as Camp Alabama. They also work with KEDM through our Give the Joy of Learning program which provides free books to kids. Many of these groups will be offering their services and support on the day of the fundraiser.
